Personal Training Business Client Trainer Privilege

Over the past 22 years, I have learned the hard way, and I don’t want you to also. As a personal fitness trainer running a personal training business, you must follow a client personal trainer privilege 100% of the time. What I mean by this is when a client tells you something you must not tell other people. I am telling you right now, it could come back to bite you in the rear end if you don’t follow what I recommend.

The problem is every one of your clients are different. Some are extremely sensative to having you say anything to another one of your clients. Where as, other clients could care less. This is especially crucial when two of your clients are friends. Beware! It could be as simple as you telling one client that her friend is going out of town next week. In your opinion it is not a big, secret thing, but the client who told you so might not want it advertised.

Therefore, I have discovered, through the school of hard knocks, it is best to SAY NOTHING even if you think it is not a big deal.

Think of yourself as a doctor, or psychologist. Strive to keep one clients life from the others. If you follow this advice you will not risk losing a valuable client.
