Personal Fitness Trainers Shouldn’t Think Hourly
Ninety nine percent of personal fitness trainers think alike when it comes to building a personal training business. That is, the more clients they book in a week, the more money they will make. It is that simple! Fill the schedule even if it requires working seven days a week, 12 hours a day. It is all about filling the calandar to the max. When a trainers works, they get paid. When they don’t work, they fail to get paid.
Personal trainers have it all wrong. They are thinking completely backwards.
Professional fitness trainers don’t understand the word leverage. yes, they know what it means, but really don’t apply it within their personal training businesses.
Don’t get me wrong, trainers don’t have to apply leverage into their personal fitness training businesses. However, if they don’t they will be working an very aggressive schedule which doesn’t leave much time for anything else. There is nothing wrong with hard work. Isn’t that what we are taught?
Like I mentioned earlier, personal trainers have it backwards. They should not be focusing on working hard, but working smart. Working smart is all about leveraging. Time is a fitness professionals greatest asset especially if they are working the personal training business alone. Once that hour is gone, the ability to generate income also leaves.
Therefore, I propose fellow fitness trainers to start thinking about leveraging. Some examples of leveraging your personal training business are hiring other trainers to work with you, create an in demand information products, do seminars in front of groups of people, and find a way to have money coming in when you are not training. Fitness product sales are also a good example. Look for extra profit centers that will pay even is you don’t work.
I highly encourage you to continue to work hard, but find ways of working smarter. By working smarter your wallet, as well as your quality of life will drastically improve.
